Community Health Development Initiatives

Loma Linda University Health – Institute for Community Partnerships in 2016, initiated a unique funding opportunity for non-profit community based organizations (CBOs) that would provide them with monetary support and expert consultation for program design and evaluation. The purpose of the annual funding opportunity is to sponsor and oversee programs or activities through direct community engagement that promote health and healing in response to identified community needs.

Licensed public or private nonprofit community based organization in San Bernardino or Riverside counties of the State of California were eligible to apply. The LLUH Community Benefit office will sponsor Program Design and Program Evaluation support for the funded projects.

Objectives

  • Creating a support system for sustaining innovative pilot programs and/or help sustain ongoing programs
  • Empower and support local non-profit community programs within our community in diverse community benefit focus areas
  • Discuss and outline the use and training of CBOs on the process and value of program design and evaluation; provide LLUH support to ensure measurable outcomes and help measure suitability to secure future funding

Community Health Sponsorship

LLUH - Community Benefit program may solicit and accept sponsorship for events, program and operations within the terms outline below. Licensed public or private nonprofit community based organization in San Bernardino or Riverside counties of the State of California are eligible to apply/request for sponsorship. Event/program/project that fit the institution’s Community Health Implementation Strategy priority areas will be given priority consideration.
