About Richard Blanco Topping, MBA

Dr. Blanco-Topping is currently an Assistant Professor and program director for the Bachelor in Business Administration, Health Care Administration specialization at Oakwood University. Blanco begins his service at Oakwood University since July 2015, where he is assigned to teach the healthcare specialization graduate courses. His involvement in the school of business includes students’ advising, funding and unfunded research, among other academic responsibilities. From 2007 to 2015 Mr. Blanco occupied different positions at Loma Linda University School of Public; while at Loma Linda, he served as assistant director office of distance learning, director of students services, business manager for the following offices: office of public health practice, Health Geoinformatics Lab, and the Center for Health Research. Other responsibilities include coordinator of the Mexican Consulate Health Window in San Bernardino, interim director of the Health Geoinformatics Certificate program, and faculty assigned to the Center for Leadership in Health Systems. He had the opportunity to teach a couple of courses at Montemorelos University’s Master of Public Health school in the management specialization program; while functioning as the manager of the university’s dental clinic from 2005 to 2007. Previous to this, he served as a Public Health County administrator from 2001 to 2002 and a general accountant and assistant administrator for Cooperecope R. L., a public cooperative from 1999 to 2000.
