About Elizabeth A. Bossert, PhD

Elizabeth Bossert is Dean, Loma Linda University School of Nursing.  She joined the faculty in 1978 and has taught primarily in the areas of parent-child nursing and research for both the Undergraduate and Graduate departments.  She studied nursing at Pacific Union College and Walla Walla College, earning her AS and BS degrees, respectively.  1977 she earned the Master’s in Science degree in nursing from Loma Linda University, and in 1990 Doctor of Nursing Science degree from the University of California San Francisco.  Her research has focused on children’s responses to hospitalization and illness, leading to quality of life, pain and other symptoms experienced by children with cancer.  She has published in a number of nursing journals and presented at national and international conferences.
