About Katherine J. Debay, MSPH

I am honored to teach for global health practice and professional development.  Prior to joining LLU, my career was in international health and development with the U.S. Agency for International Development, with long-term service in Latin America, West Africa and Washington, DC, and as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua.  I also worked as an epidemiologist for the State of Oregon.

During my career, I have created strong relationships with international counterparts, NGO partners, and donors, conceptualizing and developing programs, and managing financial and human resources in challenging environments. I am a trained leadership/life coach and mentor to multi-cultural teams, organizations and individuals overseas and in the U.S. to achieve program results and fulfill their potential.

In this stage of my life, my ministry is teaching, coaching and mentoring students to prepare them to be excellent global health practitioners, and to stay grounded in their faith. Spanish and French.
