  • AAP QI project - Virtual Learning Collaborative - Maternal-Infant Health and Opiate Use (MIHOU) This program strives to increase in the number of neonates with neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome (NOWS) discharged from the hospital with ad ocumented plan for safe discharge for the mother-infant dyad. To achieve thisg oal, the virtual learning collaborative is designed to: 1. Increase knowledge of discharge planning activities that facilitate a safe transition from hospital to home for the mother-infant dyad. 2. Improve communication approaches to create a therapeutic alliance with mothers with opioid use disorder (OUD) and/or who are in recovery. 3. Increase self-efficacy in recommended approaches to screening, intervention, and referral to community-based services for women with OUD and/or who are in recovery. (06/2022 - 11/2022)
