About Paul Gavaza, PhD

I have expertise in economic evaluation, research design, survey development, statistical analysis, and scientific writing. My primary research interests include social, economic and behavioral aspects of pharmacy practice and outcomes research. I have presented over 15 posters at national and international professional scientific meetings and have published over 30 papers in peer reviewed medical and pharmacy journals. In addition, I have been invited to serve as a scientific reviewer for several pharmacy (e.g., AJPE, JAPHA, AJHP, CPTL, pharmacy practice) and medical (e.g., PlosOne, BMC Medical education, Journal of the American Geriatrics Society) journals and two national grant funding organizations (American Society for Health-System Pharmacists and Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute).

I have been awarded several prestigious national awards in the past including the Current Therapeutic Research Travel Award, the Fulbright Fellowship, and the United States Pharmacoepeia Fellowship (2009-2010).  I currently reside in Beaumont, CA with my wife, Kuda and my three children. I enjoy spending time with my family, writing, and playing tennis and ping pong. I am a third generation Adventist.
