About Darren A. Moon, MSN

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to deliver pre-hospital care as a paramedic and in-hospital car as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department at Loma Linda University Medical Center.  I now have the opportunity to educate future nurses through Loma Linda University School of Nursing.

I have always had the passion for emergency medicine.  In the LLUMC ED, I was able to broaden my perspective on providing care to include the Loma Linda value of “Making Man Whole.”  I hope to broaden my student’s views on healthcare to include the core values that Loma Linda University emphasizes. The importance of spirituality, compassion, excellence, humility, justice, integrity and teamwork will be incorporated into each subject I teach at LLUSN.

I obtained my BS in 1983 from Cal State University Long Beach and my MSN from Grand Canyon University in 2019.  I am now continuing with my education through Grand Canyon University to obtain my DNP in education.  I look forward to many years having a positive influence on the future nurses in our community.
