About Roger T. Tomihama, MD

My clinical interests include clinical IR research, vascular malformations and interventional oncology.  I am the founder of the Loma Linda University Medical Center Vascular Malformations multidisciplinary tumor board.  This multidisciplinary tumor board includes experts in the field of pediatric surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, pediatric ENT, interventional radiology and pediatric hematology/oncology.  Since we started this program, our care of vascular malformation patients have been growing exponentially.

My career goal is to advance the field of interventional radiology and radiology.   As an active member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, I currently serve on three committees: FDA Committee/Device Forum, Early Career Section Membership Committee, and International Affairs Committee.  I am currently on the editorial boards of Clinics in Oncology and Annals of Clinical Radiology.  I am also an active member in the Radiology Society of North America, American Roentgen Ray Society, and American College of Radiology.  I hope my involvement in these societies can help continue to refine my skills and abilities so that I can help steer our section to become one of the best sections and fellowship programs in the country.
