Student Organizations

Loma Linda University Student Association (LLUSA)

The Loma Linda University Student Association (LLUSA) represents the unified efforts of the student body to bring together, in purpose and activities, students from all programs and schools on campus. The LLUSA is recognized by University administration as the official voice of the students.

Adventist Medical Evangelism Student Association (AMESA)

The purpose of the AMESA student chapter shall be (a)to foster a broad student interest in medical evangelism by providing  leadership, programs, and service opportunities and (b) to assist students in further developing skills and leadership in connecting the medical work Ito that of sharing the gospel. AMESA Student Chapter seeks to uphold the priciples of the Seventh Day Adventist church. As a student organization we desire to pattern our future professional practices after the healing ministry demonstrated by Jesus Christ as recorded by the Gospels. we embrace the great commission of Matthew 24 and 28 and aha passion to proclaim the Three Angels messages of Revelation 14.

African Network (AfriNet)

The African Network (AfriNet) is a student group created by LLU students in 2008 to celebrate the 22 African nations that are represented on our campus. Their mission is to fully engage African students socially, spiritually, academically, and professionally within the LLU community. They also actively participate in activities supportive to the environment and contribute to African development.

Association of Latin American Students (ALAS)

The Association of Latin American Students (ALAS) is composed of students and friends of all the health-oriented curricula of the University. Its purpose is to provide academic, spiritual, social, and ethnocultural support for its members as well as to engage in community outreach. While the majority of its members are of Latino heritage, any and all students regardless of ethnic heritage are invited to participate in and learn from Latino cultural and social activities. In harmony with the LLU office of diversity standards, ALAS welcomes all ethnic groups into its membership.

Black Health Professional Student Association (BHPSA)

The Black Health Professional Student Association (BHPSA) is comprised of students and friends of all the health-oriented curricula of the University. Its purpose is to provide academic, spiritual, social, and ethnocultural support for its members, as well as to engage in community outreach. While the majority of its members are of African heritage, any and all students regardless of ethnic heritage are invited to participate in and learn from African cultural and social activities. In harmony with the LLU office of diversity standards, BHPSA welcomes all ethnic groups into its membership.

Bioethics Interest Group

The purpose of the organization shall be (a) to foster a broad student interest in bioethics by providing leadership, programs, and service and (b) to assist students in developing skills and leadership in the field of bioethics.

Health GIS Club of Loma Linda University

The purpose of the Health GIS Club at Loma Linda University (LLU) is to promote, support, and advocate for the growth of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) by gathering like-minded individuals who are interested in mapping, share an appreciation for different cultures, perspectives, as well as the environment and applying that interest to geospatial technology in ways that will better our community both locally and globally.

Loma Linda University Garden Club

The purpose of the organization shall be (a) to foster a broad student interest in community gardening by providing leadership, programs, and service (b) to assist students in developing skills and leadership in community gardening and (c) donating harvests to UReach, whose café proceeds go to support community outreach ministries.

Sexuality and Gender Alliance (SAGA) of Loma Linda University

The purpose of the organization shall be (a) to foster a broad student interest in surveying LGBTQ+ history, culture, and healthcare, as well as expressions of actionable advocacy, and cultural humility by providing leadership, programs, and service and (b) to assist students in developing skills and leadership in exploring issues of intersectionality where gender and sexuality coincide with other aspects of identity, such as race, class, or age.

Student National Medical Association (SNMA)

The Student National Medical Association (SNMA) is the oldest and largest student-run organization focused on the needs and concerns of medical students of color. Membership includes more than 6,000 medical students, pre-medical students, residents and physicians. Established in 1964 by medical students from Howard University and Meharry medical schools, the SNMA boasts over 40 years of advocacy and service to underserved communities and medical students.

Taste Buds Culinary Club

The purpose of the organization shall be (a) to foster broad student interest in vegetarian cooking by providing leadership, programs, and services and (b) to assist students in developing skills and interest in different cooking skills, styles, fares and develop leadership skills to empower others to embrace vegetarian cooking.

Veterans and Military Club

The purpose of this organization shall be to foster a broad student interest in extracurricular activities and encourage interaction among our many students who either now or previously have served in the United Stated military, This will be accomplished by providing leadership, educational and recreational programs, and service within the university and the local community.

3D Printing Collaborative

The purpose of the organization shall be (a) to foster a broad student interest in additive manufacturing by providing leadership, programs, and service,(b) to assist students in developing skills and leadership in clinical, academic educational, and hobbyist domains,(c) develop resources for the constituents on 3D printing,(d) and develop communication among the different schools, groups, and individuals at LLU involved in 3D printing.
