About Michael D. Hogue, PharmD, FAPhA, FNAP

Dean Michael Hogue became the Dean of the School of Pharmacy in January 2019 after serving in several administrative and clinical roles at Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama.  His Bachelors's and Doctoral degrees are from Samford University.  He was the 165th President of the American Pharmacists Association, the oldest and largest pharmacy association in the U.S.  Dr. Hogue is nationally known for his expertise and work in immunizations/vaccines.  In 2020 he was appointed by the  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the  Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) COVID-19 Vaccine Workgroup.
