About Caroline M. Sierra, PharmD

Caroline Sierra, PharmD, BCPPS is an Associate Professor at Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy and a general pediatrics pharmacy specialist. She teaches courses on pediatric pharmacotherapy, immunizations, and pharmacy residency preparation. Dr. Sierra received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of New Mexico School of Pharmacy and subsequently completed her PGY1 Pharmacy and her PGY2 Pediatric Pharmacy Residencies at Loma Linda University. Dr. Sierra is a Board Certified Pediatric Pediatric Pharmacist and practices in the Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Sierra's research has focused on pharmacotherapy in infectious disease in pediatric patients, as well as academic pharmacy. She has authored several manuscripts focusing on these topics. Dr. Sierra's research has also been presented on the state, regional, and national level at multiple venues.

Dr. Sierra is actively involved in multiple professional organizations and has served on national committees with both the American Society of Health System Pharmacists and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy. She is also professionally active on a state and local level via her involvement with the California Society of Health System Pharmacists.
