Course Description:

This course will include the latest updates on where nutritionl genomics is at  in relation to alzheimer's disease, coronary heart disease, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, and hypertension.GBinsight next generation sequencing sequencing-based genetic analysis, precision nutrition technologies and medical nutrition therapy will be discussed.

Objectives:

At the end of this course the attendee will be able to:

  1. Explain the general overiview for the sequencing-based genetic analysis through the GBinsight technology.
  2. Identify the role particular nutrients plays in affecting the outcome of alzheimer's disease.
  3. Name the genes that affect alzheimer's disease
  4. Identify the role particular nutrients play  in affecting the outcome of coronary disease.
  5. Name the genes that affet coronary disease.
  6. Identify the role particular nutrients play in affecting theoutcome of type 2 diabetes
