Program Description
This MS program is designed for those with a bachelor's degree in a non-nutrition related field. The curriculum is comprised of didactic training and supervised practice experience in order to establish eligibility to write the registration examination for dietitians and become a Registered Dietitian (RD). The program culminates with a MS degree and a Verification Statement covering both didactic and supervised practice requirements.Program Length

The majority of RDs work in the treatment and prevention of disease (administering medical nutrition therapy, often part of medical teams) in hospitals, HMOs, private practice or other health-care facilities. In addition, a large number of RDs work in community and public health settings and academia, and research. A growing number of RDs work in the food and nutrition industry, in business, journalism, sports nutrition, and corporate wellness programs. Admissions Requirements
- Have a bachelor’s degree
- Complete program prerequisites
- Have a 3.0 G.P.A., or above, in both science and non-science prerequisite courses
- Complete an online application
- Provide recommendations
- Complete an interview
- GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

- Anatomy and Physiology with Laboratory (complete sequence)
- General Chemistry with laboratory (complete sequence)
- Microbiology with laboratory
- Human Nutrition
- Provide a certificate of completion for a Medical Terminology course
