About Janet D. Donnelly, PhD
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Loretto Heights College in Nursing in 1976, and a Master's degree in Adult Clinical Nurse Specialist from LLU in 2007. I was a unit-based Clinical Nurse Specialist at Sharp Memorial Hospital in San Diego from 2008 to 2017. After earning my Ph.D. in 2016 from the University of San Diego, I was hired in 2017 as an Assistant Professor at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing. I am passionate about research, global nursing and I had the privilege to accompany Dr. Anne Berit Petersen to Mongolia for LLU and the WHO's Smoking Cessation program. During this trip, we also traveled to China and presented a Fall Prevention and Safe Patient Mobilization presentation at the annual Chinese Nursing Conference. I look forward to serving the school of nursing and preparing tomorrow's nurses. I look forward to a rich research career at LLUH and making a difference for students, patients, and families in the mission to "make man whole."
